The Centre for Excellence for Immigrant and Intercultural Advancement at Bow Valley College, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a champion of promising practices in ESL literacy. Our community is committed to reflective practice and responsive programming that fosters success for LIFE (Learners with Interrupted Formal Education). The ESL Literacy Network is the result of a collaborative effort to share our expertise in ESL literacy. It is our hope that this website will enhance the professional development of the ESL literacy community in Alberta and beyond.

Isabel Gibbins and Diane Hardy are grateful to the ESL literacy experts, administrators and practitioners who have created this online community of practice.
