Reading Blog Series Wrap-Up

Many thanks to the ESL Literacy Network for the opportunity to be a guest blogger over the past four weeks! It was a wonderful experience. I was excited to blog about literacy and reading, and I am thrilled with the results. Thank you to everyone who read and posted on the blog. It was very powerful to have such positive feedback and to hear what amazing activities and ideas you have for your classes and learners. The dedication to literacy learners that was evident through the blog is inspiring and commendable.  

The conversation about reading, reading strategies and literacy was engaging and it helped me to enrich my own practice. There were also some beautiful quotations from blog posts that I have printed and hung in my office. These quotations help me to remember to have intention in my teaching and inspire me to continue to develop as an instructor. I gained new perspectives on reading instruction and how to use various materials from the simple highlighter to digital cameras. Thanks for the valuable ideas and links to amazing resources.

I would definitely recommend guest blogging for the ESL Literacy Network and becoming part of the online community of practice.
